Afro Vibe Fest 2025 – Thunder Bay, Ontario
Client: The African Boutique
As my first major project in Canada after relocating from Cameroon in 2022, Afro Vibe Fest 2025 was both a creative milestone and a personal turning point. Commissioned by The African Boutique, I was entrusted with the full digital media production for this inaugural two-day celebration of Afro-centric culture, music, and arts in Thunder Bay.
I designed and launched the official website — afro-vibefest.ca — and produced all visual assets for the digital campaign, including animated promotional videos. Working with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, I crafted vibrant visuals that reflected the festival’s energy and cultural richness. For the video content, I used After Effects and Premiere Pro to create dynamic motion graphics, incorporating the client’s logo and branding.
Beyond the creative execution, this project challenged me to step outside my comfort zone. With over 15 years of experience in audiovisual production, I had never handled web development or domain management. I took this opportunity to learn the fundamentals of web publishing and adapt my design sensibilities to the digital space — a leap that allowed me to offer a more comprehensive service to the client.
The result? A successful campaign that not only boosted ticket sales but also helped establish Afro Vibe Fest as a vibrant new cultural landmark in Northern Ontario.
